Final Pictures Post

This will be my last post for this project. When I started my field study in early September, we were reaching the end of summer and falling into the autumn season. Now we are nearing the end of fall and heading into winter. My 30x30 spot at the park has changed a lot since September, but it's been beautiful in every season. I think that points to how awesome God is. He made each season beautiful in its own unique way! Here are all of the panoramas and same spot photos, in order from September 3 to November 27, so you can enjoy the seasonal change too! Field Study #1

First Visit! Today I visited my location to choose my spot, film my video, create a map, and start my first field study! You can see my video and map in my earlier post. So far, the most difficult part of this project has actually been choosing a 30x30 plot of land to study! My location (a local park with nature trails) is much bigger than 30 square meters, so I had to choose just a small section. That was a little hard because I saw so many interesting things! I saw small birds, monarch butterflies, some smaller butterflies and moths, bees, interesting plants and flowers, and even a fruit tree on one of the trails (it seemed to be some kind of pear tree). I was able to photograph a few of the many bees and butterflies I saw before they flew away! I was excited that I had already seen so much wildlife even before I got to my actual spot! Field Study #3

I visited my field study location for the third time this weekend. In just two weeks since my last visit, the park has changed so much that I almost didn't recognize the trail at first! It had just rained and the ground was very wet, so I'm glad I had my rain boots! The park looks beautiful in the fall- the colors are changing, and leaves are falling everywhere. I noticed so much intricate detail in the leaves. Those leaves reminded me that God designed all of His creation with so much beauty and complexity. As I left the park, I could see the start of a beautiful sunset! I am so grateful to live in a place where there are many public parks and trails for everyone to enjoy.
